Digital camera checkout is limited to current Macalester faculty, staff and students. Camera equipment can be checked out for up to 24 hours.

The following camera equipment is available from the library:

• Two (2) Flip Ultra Video Cameras
• One (1) Canon NTSC ZR500 Video Camcorder
• One (1) Canon PowerShot A620 7.1 Megapixels Still Camera
• One (1) Fuji Finepix A805 8.3 Megapixels Still Camera

To borrow a digital camera from the library, you must have your current valid Macalester ID and complete an Equipment Borrowers Agreement. This agreement is given to you to fill out when you show up to check out equipment. If you have any outstanding library fines or charges which prevent you from checking out other library materials, you will also not be allowed to check out a camera.

When returned, all equipment should always be returned to a lib tech staff person and should not just be left on the counter when returned. There will be a $5 late charge for each 1 hour period or portion thereof that the camera is returned beyond the due date/time. If there is missing or damaged equipment, there is a replacement charge of up to $200 plus a processing fee of up to $25 for damage to or loss of the cameras or peripheral equipment.
