Assigned Studies
The Library does not assign study rooms to students. The rooms remain open for use on a "first come, first serve" basis. 30 lockers are available in the link if students have a lot of study materials to store for a project. These lockers are assigned through the Circulation Desk of the library.
Four locked study rooms - 407, 408, 416, 417 - have been set aside for use by faculty. These rooms remain locked at all times. Faculty who are interested in a study room are to be directed to the Provost's Office, as these rooms are assigned by the Provost. The faculty approved for study rooms receive their keys and a written copy of the Policy for Provost Guest Studies from the Library's Office Manager. Faculty may access these studies anytime during open library hours only. When the term of use is complete, Faculty members must return their keys to the Library Office.

Special Events
Food and beverages are permitted in library meeting areas for library and campus functions if the event has been given prior approval by the members of the Library Events Committee. All food and drink are to be consumed within the confines of the designated space. Hosts for the event are responsible for the clean up and removal of all leftover food and beverages.
Staffing During Severe Weather Conditions
The College policy on offering services during emergencies is stated in the Staff Handbook under Emergency Procedures. The Library is identified as an essential building/function which should remain open if the College closes. It is essential that Circulation services be offered when the Library is open during severe weather; it is preferable but not essential that other public services, such as Reference and Periodicals services be offered; it is not essential for Technical Services to be staffed.
Library hours will be as close to normal as possible given the emergency conditions and availability of staff. The Library Director and Public Services Team Leader will jointly determine library hours.
If unusual conditions exist and the College does not declare an emergency closing, the Library will give top priority to maintaining hours and services, especially public services. However, under no conditions will the library staff be expected to take personal risks to report to work.
Study Rooms
The Library does not assign individual or group study rooms to students. The rooms cannot and do not need to be reserved. They remain open for use on a "first come, first served" basis.
