EAST ASIAN COLLECTION PROJECT

INTRODUCTION
THE EAST ASIAN COLLECTION PROJECT is a collaborative endeavor among three liberal arts college libraries, Macalester, St Olaf, and Carleton. It started in 2003 as part of the Undergraduate Initiative funded by Freeman Foundation. The primary goal of the project is to develop a cooperative East Asian collection to support the growing East Asian programs at the three institutions. Ultimately, the project promotes partnership between libraries, between the librarian and the faculty, to ensure the continual excellence of the library services and academic programs.
