Exporting Records From: IngentaConnect
Single or multiple records:
- Put a checkmark in the box next to the records you want to export.
Click on the link Update marked list at the top of
the list of records.
- Click on Bookmarking options, a link on the right
side of the screen. Click on Marked list.
- With your marked list displayed, click on Export options, a link to
the right side of the screen. Click on Plain text.
- Copy the plain text version of your list.
- Login to RefWorks.
- Choose References/Import from the toolbar.
- Select Macalester College as the Import Filter/Data
Source and IngentaConnect [plain text] as the Database.
- Paste the text directly into the “Import data from the following
text” box on the Import screen in RefWorks. Click on Import.
- Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
Note: If you have a long list of records you might want
to save the list as a file and import the file into RefWorks. Follow the
directions above through the Copy step. Then:
- Paste the text into a text editor program such as Notepad.
- Save the document as a text file (*.txt)
- Login to RefWorks.
- Choose References/Import from the toolbar.
- Select Macalester College as the Import Filter/Data
Source and IngentaConnect [plain text] as the Database.
- Under "Import data from the following text file", use the
Browse button to find the text file you saved to your
computer. Click the Import button.
- Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
