Exporting Records From: Public Library of Science (PLOS)
NOTE: As of May 2008, citations from PLOS were importing into RefWorks fully intact and formatted, but with dashes ("-") preceding each field.
You can only export a single record at a time.
- After you have searched a journal collection and found an article
you want to export, click on Download Citation.
- Click on RIS and save the *.ris file on
your computer.
- Login to RefWorks.
- Choose References/Import from the toolbar.
- Select Macalester College as the Import Filter/Data
Source and RefWorks Tagged Format as the Database.
- Under "Import data from the following text file", use the
Browse button to find the *.ris file you saved to your
computer. Click the Import button.
- Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
