“Selected Works is a web-based service that enables institutions to provide faculty with clean, elegantly designed scholarly publication pages. Sites are custom designed to match the look and feel of your institutional or departmental web pages and come fully supported.

PLEASE NOTE: Macalester faculty pages in Selected Works are still in the process of being updated, and many pages are not complete. However, if you want to update your own pages right away, please read the instructions below.
GETTING STARTED
Before you can edit your page, you will need to set up an account using the DigitalCommons.
If you already have an account, please proceed to Step Two.
Step One – Log into Digital Commons.
URL: Digitalcommons.macalester.edu
Select “My Account”. Select “Create New Account” and enter information including a password.

Step Two is to login to SelectedWorks.
URL: works.bepress.com
Select “My Account” and login using same password as you set up for DigitalCommons. 
Step Three: Edit My Site
When you are in your account, you will have two options:
View My Site
Edit My Site – select Edit My Site

Step Four: Changing Content
You will have a variety of options including uploading content. Here is where you enter citations to your work. We have tried to maintain consistency in headings for articles, sections in books, books, etc. For faculty in the performaning or fine arts, there are variations for entering exhibits or performances. We will be providing detailed instructions in order to maintain some consistency with these pages after our April 30th unveiling.
Subjects and Abstracts
For the initial loading, we have not added any subject terms, nor abstracts. If you would like to update your pages with that content, you can add as much detail as you would like.
After editing a page, you will need to select the "Update Site" option.
