This is a separate piece of equipment! It is attached to the Fuji and is linked by wiring, but it operates on its own power supply.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • THESE COIN-OPS DO NOT GIVE CHANGE!!
  • They will accept dimes, nickels, and quarters.
  • If a quarter is used, they will not give change and will only make one copy!
  • The green light on the top of the coin-op lights up when it accepts either one dime or 2 nickels or one quarter. This means it's ready to copy.
Troubleshooting:

If you hear a patron having trouble getting the coin-op to accept a coin, or if a patron reports that the coin-op will not accept his/her coin:

  • Check if the green light on the coin-op is on (it will only accept money for one copy at a time).
  • If green light is not on - open the coin-op with the flat key (from Circulation keycase).
  • The door will swing open - the mechanisms are located on the inside of the door.
  • Push the silver piece on the very top of the door up as far as it will go - this is just to keep it out of your way.
  • Notice the small metal tabs over small plastic "posts" on the upper right and left corners of the brown plastic assembly.
  • With your thumbs, push the tabs up so the posts are free - the front half of the assembly will fall forward into your hands - IT WILL REMAIN ATTACHED AT THE BOTTOM, PLEASE DON'T DETACH IT ALL THE WAY!!
  • Look inside for jammed coins. After removing, close the mechanism.
  • Be careful while closing the coin box door - don't pinch any wires.
  • You must lock the coin box before removing the key - it doesn't lock automatically.
If the coin box still won't accept coins, don't attempt to troubleshoot anymore! Put an out-of-order sign on the coin box (NOT the Fuji) and notify Christina or Dani; the machine will work for reading only until a Supervisor can adjust the circuit breaker.
