Presentation Practice Room (Library L303)
The library's Presentation Practice Room is available to currently registered Macalester students, staff, and faculty during the Academic year and may be used to develop, practice, or give presentations. The room has a whiteboard, a blackboard, a lectern, and a projection screen installed. A Data projector may be checked out from the Circulation Desk on the first floor.
Using the Room
To reserve the room, please submit a Presentation Practice Room Reservation Request or come to the Circulation Desk. Reservations are for two hours and must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to the time requested. Walk-in use of the room is possible during times that the room is not reserved. The room may not be used strictly for meeting purposes or for regularly scheduled events.
Patrons must sign a form the first time they checkout the key or projector indicating responsiblity for the room and any equipment. View the Reservation Calendar below to see when the room is available.
Patrons may check out the room key and a data projector (if needed), from the Circulation Desk. The data projector is only available for use in the Presentation Practice Room in the library. A short VGA cable for the projector is available in the projector case. A laptop and/or a dongle adapter (needed for Macs) for use with the data projector may also be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
A basic projector hook-up info sheet will be available in the room. An additional copy of this info will be in the projector case. If there are problems with equipment, please contact the Circulation Desk.
