Lilly Project for Vocation and Ethical Leadership
Macalester College is one of 88 colleges and universities across the country selected to receive a grant from the Lilly Endowment as part of the Program for Theological Exploration of Vocation. This is the second such grant Macalester has been awarded, the first spanning 2001-2006. These grants enable students to explore how their religious and/or ethical commitments shape the work they do and the meaning they attach to it. Through work inside and outside the classroom, students are encouraged to participate in the many opportunities afforded by the Lilly Project during their four years at Macalester. Macalester as an institution is dedicated to incorporating the emphases and programs of the Lilly Project into the ongoing work of the college.
The Lilly Project is coordinated by the Institute for Global Citizenship through the Civic Engagement Center in partnership with the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
Check out the Mac-Weekly Article about the new grant.
