Need a break from the real world? Ever wish you could go back to college to once again contemplate life’s big questions? Well the Lilly Project at Macalester College wants to give you that opportunity.
"Continuing the Conversation: Renewing our Lives of Contribution" is a two-day retreat to reconnect with Macalester alums and contemplate your life’s direction in community. This opportunity provides space to reflect with other Lilly alums about the values you nurtured at Macalester and where you see or envision them in your current vocation.
The New York retreat will be held on November 14- 15, 2009. The retreat will start at 10 am on Saturday and run through dinner. On Sunday we will meet from 9 am - noon, and breakfast is included.
Hear stories of how other alums have found ways to contribute to the common good in small and big ways.
Spend time reconnecting with old dreams and conjuring up new ones.
What to Expect?
The majority of the retreat will be informal, reflective conversation with other participants. We will provide a few short readings to guide our time together and hear from a couple outside presenters. As is customary with the Lilly Project, we will eat great food and spend an evening out in the host city. The hope is that you will leave the retreat rooted in that which gives your life meaning and renewed with a clearer sense of how to live those values more purposefully. It will be a fantastic time to refresh our commitments and friendships.
