Preparation for global citizenship requires corollary contemplation on both personal commitments and community need. Through personal reflection, civic engagement and community-based research, students ask not only, “what is my work in the world?”, but also, “to what purpose shall we pledge our common, cooperative effort?” The Lilly Program provides students with the vision and skills to assume ethical leadership within both society and religious communities.
As part of the Lilly Program, the Lives of Commitment Program engages a select group of first-year students in intentional reflection on issues of social justice, ethical and religious commitments, and the integration of values with work.
Application deadline extended to midnight Sunday, July 6, 2014.
**Note: The program begins with a pre-orientation retreat August 24-27 (Click here for pdf of sample retreat schedule.) Please do not make travel plans until you have heard from us. Decisions will be made in early July.
Please limit your answer to 250 words per question. After you submit your application, you will be emailed a copy for your records.
