Welcome to my Ket page! My name is Eric Weisser, and I'm a junior at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

My goals for this website are to teach about the language of Ket, as well as to teach readers some basic Ket communication. The website is aimed more towards simple descriptions which are comprehensible to any English speaker without a linguistic background. I've also included some information to clarify matters for the more advanced linguist.

Hopefully, this website will also teach you how to say some absolutely necessary phrases you might find yourself in need of someday, like "Who eats reindeer moss?" (Bítsè tádèng dūp?), or "Who is the world's first woman cosmonaut?" (Bésà mīdd qótìl qīm kosmonábt?). On these pages are the answers to these pressing questions, in both English and Ket.

The source of almost all my information was the book "Ket", by Edward J. Vajda. It was published by Lincom Europa GmbH, Munich, Germany, in 2004, and is part of the Languages of the World/Materials series, in which it is number 204. I also obtained a few more facts from the Wikipedia page on Ket, .

Thanks for visiting--I hope you find Ket interesting!
