Chee Lor My name is Chee Lor. I am 17 years old and turning 18 in two months. I am attending Humboldt Sr. High school. My favorite classes are math and chemistry. I play badminton for Humboldt. This year is my last year at Humboldt and I want to join as many sports teams as I can, because it the last year for me. I'm planning to join volleyball, basketball and badminton. My goal for this year is to have fun with school sports and graduate with an excellent ACT score so I can continue on with college. I have two brothers and one sister. All of my siblings are married except me. I am the youngest. My sister is married and lives in Detroit. Both my brothers are married and live in St. Paul. My mom and I live with my older brother; he supports my mom and me. I am very glad that I have him as a brother. He looks up to me, hoping that I will make it to college, and I know I will make it. I will not let him down. When I have free time I like to hang out with my friends or talk on the telephone with them. I also like to exercise. My friends and I shop and eat out a lot together. To me my friends are like my sisters, because I don't have a sister to hang out with. I try to exercise everyday when I am open. Sometimes I play volleyball and badminton to help me stay in shape. I usually run at Como Park and after I run I do some sit ups and push ups. MACCESS gave me a very good idea of how college would be like. I can
say that it was very hard for me but I try my best. MACCESS had given
me the drive to do well especially in public speaking. The professors
encourage me to do well. I am glad that they did that to me because
it has helped me a lot. I had a talk with one of the student teachers
at MACCESS and he had changed the way I had thought of education. He
said that education is the key to independence. If you want to live
independently then you have to go out there into the world and achieve
it. |
