Choua Vang

Hi my name is Choua Vang. I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on 8/27/86. I'm Asian and that means I'm Hmong. My family and I came to American for a better education. I went to Saturn Riverfront School for elementary and middle school. Right now I'm at Arlington High School. I'm a 11th grader and next year I'll become a 12th grader. Also in my family I'm the oldest that is why my family spends on me the most. They want me to show my little brothers and sisters how to finish school. I'm so happy for it. That is why they depend on me to be a good model for my little brothers and sisters. I'll try my best to be one because I want to tell them that I could.

My favorite color is baby blue. My favorite movies are all kinds of movies, but the most movies that I live best are Indian movies because they dance and sing good songs. My favorites music is Hmong. Some of my hobbies are reading and cooking. I also like to play soccer and badminton because I'm good at this the most. My other favorite thing is that I love watching movies and I also love trying new things.
One thing that is value to me is my education. This is one thing that is more important to me than anything else. I don't want anything to stop my education at all. I want this to get done before anything else. This is why I came here. My parents support me for this. This is what I want. My parent want me to succeed with this first before getting married and I'll get it done for all their hopes, dreams and supports for me. My mom and dad are the first ones that support me. They are the ones who count on me and then my brothers and sisters and then all my friends. I'm so happy for all their help and support.

My goal for now is to finish high school without getting marry and go to a 4-6 years college, got a jobs and than continue from there.

MACCESS helped me to improve my writing a lot. I never ever have written a lot of page and right now all my speeches are good right now. I really like it because I can't believe how much I'm changing this thing. I'm so happy that I'll be improving this writing and right now I already have. I can't believe a things right now. I'm so glad MACCESS helped me to improve it. I also would like to thank the teacher for helping me with my speech. I didn't really like to speak in front of people that much until now. I guess I got use to it a bit. So right now I'm so happy that I got used to it a lot.

I do like to volunteer and help people out. That is why I'm a bit good at helping other people but I'm not good at talking with them that much but I'm really good at helping out, which is really good and really nice. But I do like to improve it a lot because that is what I want to do. That is another reason why I came in MACCESS. I wanted to improve it and I want people to know I can do it and I want to show my family to stand up and take a risk at it, which is really fun.
