Jimmy Yang Hello, I would like to take this great opportunity to introduce myself to you all. My name is Jimmy Yang and I attend Harding Senior High School in St. Paul. I will be a senior this coming fall. As you all know, I am not Chinese, not Korean, not Japanese, not Thai but yes I am 100% pure Hmong. I came to the United States at an early age of seven and a half, where we resided in California. I was able to start 2nd grade shortly after. I have four sisters and two brothers and I am the youngest child in my family. Both of my parents are divorced and they no longer live together. As of now, my father still lives in Laos with his second wife. Sometimes it is hard to overcome the dilemmas of family issues and full filling personal needs, although my mother always love me and gave me a hand whenever I need her. Now I would like to talk more about me. I am a very fun to talk too, an opened mind person with good heart and great personality. As I grew older and gained a more rounded sense of understanding to life, I started to take interest in things that would help me excel my potential. MACCESS is also a good programs for all of us, in other words all the youths, with different racial backgrounds to study and prepares them for college. I, myself, love school and like to be alone. In that matter, being alone helps me with my creditability of learning and thinking. I am interested in all types of things, it does not matter what kind. As long as it's enjoyable, entertaining and interesting. I am often shy, and of course very patient. I love to learn new things every day and I am also very reliable with what I am doing. I often take things very personally in terms of serious situation or extremely involved with school or activities. Further more, I will tell you more about this program and how significant it is for me. Now, I would like to tell you more on what I want to be and what are my goals in the future. My goal is to gain a good education in which I can enhance a better
career path. |
