Governor

Ultra conservative governor Tim Pawlenty is running for reelection and a host of DFLers are aiming to unseat him:

• Life long Minnesotan and graduate of University of Minnesota Law School
• Former chair of the DFL
• Hatch plans to change government influence on the pharmaceutical industry, to take a look at privacy issues in the state, and to continue the work he did as Attorney General to work towards corporate responsibility



Becky Lourey

• State Senator
• She has been a farmer, health care advocate, and business owner
• Her goals as governor are to create universal healthcare, quality education, and effective transportation

Macalester is in district 64A and with current 64A rep (and Mac grad) Matt Entenza running for AG the seat is open and after a big fight only one remains:

United States Senate

With incumbent Democrat Mark Dayton not seeking reelection, Republicans are aiming at Minnesota for a win in 2006. In response the democrats have fielded a strong contender to ensure that a Democrat remains in the seat for another 6 years.



Amy Klobuchar DFL Endorsed!
is the chief prosecutor for Hennepin County. She is a life long Minnesotan except for her time at Yale University and the University of Chicago Law School. Amongst a host of issues her top issues are preserving social security, a strong national security, and environmental protection.
