Meetings
MAFEL meets on the second Tuesday of every other month for a total of five meetings a year plus a conference or event. These meetings allow for interactions with professionals experienced in education, social service, and corporate settings to asses, develop, and enhance internship and field experience programs.

Student Internship Panel

Do you ever wonder what students really want from an internship experience? Come learn more about the student perspective on for-credit, not for-credit, paid and unpaid internships.  Listen to a panel of current and past interns from various backgrounds and academic institutions as they share insights on what they are looking for, what has worked (or not worked) and how they hear about internship opportunities.

This meeting will focus on what new technology and social media tools are helping academic internship professionals and internship site coordinators and supervisors reach their goals. Learn about the latest online learning platforms and how social media tools are being used for recruitment, communications, and access to the latest news related to internships.   Come prepared to share your tools, strategies challenges and wish lists.
