Resources
In addition to the help available from the counselors and tutors
other resources are available for students in the MAX Center:
Computers
Macintoshes and PCs, connected to the Macalester network, are available
for use in the MAX Center. They are specifically set up for math
and science applications, and students working with MAX Center staff
have priority on these machines.
Disability Accommodation
The MAX Center works with the Dean of Students Office to make academic
accommodations for students at Macalester in line with the Americans
with Disabilities Act.
Books
The MAX Center has books for math, science, writing reference, and
review for graduate standardized tests. Some books can be checked
out while others can only be used in the MAX Center.
Writing Handbook Online
"Writing at Macalester College: A Handbook for First-Year Students"
is also available online. You may access it here.
