- Read the draft once, underlining the thesis and marking + and – signs in the margins where the draft works or doesn’t work for you. Immediately after reading the draft, write a few sentences here, describing what you think the writer is trying to say.
- Read the draft again, this time writing questions in the margins next to the text. Communicate to the writer where you are confused. Comment on places where you feel the writer has made a particularlygood point. When you have completed this part, respond to these questions:
