Hope Community Church
Located near downtown Minneapolis, this is a vibrant church that focuses on ministering to college students, but also has a good few families who come. It is non-denominational, has a mix of contemporary and old-style worship music, and is serious about the gospel and following Jesus. The pastor is a funny guy. typically Jeannie drives a car every sunday. It is unfortunately a small car, but if more people are interested other options can be worked out. Be welcome! It's a lot of fun.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church
1550 Summit Ave, St Paul, 55105
(651) 699-7722
http://www.ihmsj.net
Mass: Saturdays 4:15 pm, Sundays 10:15 am
(Daily: Wed-Friday 8 am)
Immaculate Heart of Mary (Catholic church) is a half block away from Dupre, east on Summit. You may also know it as the temporary "athletic facility". Fondly known as IHM, it may not have the most spectacular stained glass, but is a welcoming environment with many members active with things Macalester students hold dear, such as social justice-specifically in helping with Project Home (being a place for the homeless at certain times of the year). It also offers daily mass and the Jesuit (Society of Jesus) priests' homilies are thought provoking and spiritually uplifting as they challenge us and themselves to live by knowing God more.

Bethel Christian Fellowship
1466 Portland Ave
St Paul, MN 55104
(651)-645-1534
Bethel Christian Fellowship is located just east of campus on Portland Ave. Take Snelling north until you reach the Super America gas station, then take a right onto to Portland. Continue on Portland until you see the church (it will be clear). Services are held at 8:00am and 10:30am, and run for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We meet at 10:15am in Dupre Formal Lounge to walk over on Sundays. Bethel is non-denominational. Worship at the 10:30 service is lively, with a lot of singing and people praying out during worship. The 8:00am service is more comtemplative and the atmosphere is more relaxed. Finally, Bethel is committed to reaching out to both the International community and Macalester students. There are many ways for students to get involved and plugged into the Bethel community. If you have any questions, contact Carleton Hanson at chanson@macalester.edu .
