Winter 2009: Planning and Scheming! The ground is frozen, but we're looking ahead to our third year in the new garden site. Last year's garden did very well (see our new photos). With the exception of our sqaush, we had good harvests of tomatoes and potatoes, beets and ground cherries. We planted hardy kiwis for a new perennial crop. Now we're sketching out our plan for the spring. We're looking at seeds and reading up on companior planting. The forest garden—which was only an idea a year ago—exists. It is our new venture into native plant based perenial polyculture. Very exciting. More to come on that. Meetings are Sunday afternoons at 2:00. Visit our get involved page for more info.
