Poster Session

The Student Research Poster Session was held on Oct 5th, 2007 from 3:30-6:00 in the Smail Gallery in the Olin/Rice Science Building. This was an opportunity for students to showcase their summer research and experiential learning. Attendees browsed the posters and conversed with the students about their findings and the next steps in their research.

Making A Poster

It is important that you talk with your faculty mentor about your poster several weeks in advance of the poster session. A poster should include the following components.

• Title/author
• An abstract
• An introduction
• Materials and methods
• Data and results
• Discussion
• Summary
• Literature cited
