Dear Macalester Transfer Student,

Greetings! It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Macalester College community. We are pleased that you are choosing to continue your education at Macalester, and are confident that you will find that Macalester is an exciting and challenging environment.

We hope that you will find the information included on this website helpful.   We know that, as transfer students, you do have some sense of what to expect from college, but are also keenly aware that there are particulars about each college that can make the transfer process a bit ‘disorienting’.  Thus, we have designed this website – and the Transfer Orientation experience – to ensure that you have access to information and resources that will make your transition as smooth as possible.  Maggie Jacoby, your Transfer Orientation Leader (OL), is excited about having the opportunity to provide you with the same valuable experience that she had following her transfer to Mac.  You can look forward to the opportunity to connect with other new, returning, and transfer students when you arrive on campus this fall.
