Involvement Opportunities

Members of departments throughout the college community support students to develop co-curricular activities that enhance students’ learning. Members of Campus Programs, Department of Multicultural Life, Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, the Civic Engagement Center, International Student Programs, Health and Wellness Center, Residential Life as well as academic departments staff members work with student leaders in the planning and implementation of dances, concerts, lectures, faculty-student get-togethers, and a variety of other events.

Defining and training leaders capable of creating positive change is an important aspect of the Macalester experience. Equally important is the concept of participation in and responsibility to a community. Through a variety of campus wide and department specific programs and initiatives, Macalester students gain valuable opportunities to test and put into practice the information they are learning in the classroom.
