Public NightsPublic Nights is an ongoing event which allows the entire Macalester community to take advantage of the college's science-grade observatory. Spring 2008 Public Nights Monday evenings from 8:00-10:30 p.m. Weather Permitting Please call 651-696-8170 on Monday evenings for an updated message on whether the event will be held that evening. To get to the observatory, take the elevator in the south west corner of the Olin Rice to the fourth floor. Weather permitting, the observatory is typically open for Public Nights about twice a week. Exact dates and times will be posted here. See St Paul Clear Sky Clock for more information on the best times to use the observatory.
