Professor Zis teaches courses in American political institutions with an emphasis on the role of government and health care. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Minnesota with scholarly interests in the nature of democratic engagement, American political and institutional development, and inequalities in public policy. His dissertation concerns historical influences on contemporary obstacles to reforming America's health care system.
