Macalester College Theater and Dance Department Presents
The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer
April 20-22 and 26-28, 2007

St. Paul, Minn. - Macalester College Theater and Dance Department presents the The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer, by Carson Kreitzer, directed by Beth Cleary.  The play opens Fri., April 20 on the Main Stage Theater of the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center, 1600 Grand Ave., in St. Paul, Minn.  Performances are Fri.-Sat., April 20-22 and Thurs.-Sat., April 26-28 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sun., April 22 at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $7 general admission; $5 seniors and groups.  Call (651) 696-6359 for ticket information.

The play tells the story of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer's life: his role in creating the world’s first atomic bomb and how he may have experienced the consequences of his invention.

Macalester students, under Cleary’s direction, are actually staging the play.
