Tenure Track Faculty Position available Fall Term, 2009
Anthropology
- The Department of Anthropology at Macalester College invites applications for
a tenure track position in cultural anthropology at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall, 2009. Applicants should have the Ph.D. in hand by time of appointment, substantial fieldwork experience and show promise of sound scholarship. The department seeks a candidate broadly trained in the four fields; specialization open, but the department is particularly interested in issues of health, urban anthropology and the environment. The ability to teach courses in theory and/or ethnographic methods as well as an introductory four fields course would be an advantage. Preference will be given to applicants whose geographic specialization does not duplicate those of current members of the faculty. Applications must be received by October 21st to receive full consideration.
