Psychology: Assistant Professor
The Macalester College Psychology Department seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Developmental Psychology (area of specialization open) for appointment in the fall term of 2014. Responsibilities include teaching in the research methodology and statistics sequence – a central part of our department curriculum – as well as intermediate and advanced level courses in one’s area of specialization. Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute courses focused on historically underrepresented perspectives, paradigms, or populations in psychology.
The person hired will have the opportunity to contribute to a curriculum informed by Macalester’s core values of multiculturalism, internationalism, and civic engagement and to collaborate with colleagues from other departments on campus as well as with agencies, organizations and universities in the Twin Cities.
Candidates should have a Ph.D., and preference will be given to gifted teachers and scholars who can involve undergraduate students in their research. Additional information about the college and the department is available at our website: www.macalester.edu/psychology.
