| Rachel Lucas-Thompson, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Psychology, Macalester College Education: B.A. Psychology Beloit College (2004) M.A. Social Ecology University of California-Irvine (2005) Ph.D. Developmental Psychology University of California-Irvine (2009) Dr. Lucas-Thompson is a developmental psychologist who specializes in the ways by which family relationships influence child and adolescent development. Her work has been recognized through awards from the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Foundation, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, as well as from Beloit College, University of California-Irvine, and Macalester College.
