Faculty and Staff : Kendrick Brown

Kendrick Brown, Associate Professor and Chair of Psychology (B.A., Mount Union College, 1993, M.A., University of Michigan, 1996; Ph.D., Social Psychology, University of Michigan, 1998)

Kendrick Brown is a social psychologist whose research addresses the expression and consequences of racial prejudice and discrimination for dominant and subordinate groups in the United States and Western Europe. Currently, he is investigating the impact of skin tone bias on African Americans and collaborating with colleagues at the University of Michigan on a threat-based model of racism. He teaches social psychology, the psychology of prejudice, and African American psychology. Selected publications include:
