Faculty and Staff : Roxane Harvery Gudeman

Roxane Harvey Gudeman, Emeritus Adjunct Professor (B.A., Radcliffe College, 1962; Ed.M. Harvard Graduate School of Education, 1964; Ph.D., Child Psychology, University of Minnesota, 1981.)

Roxane Gudeman is a developmental psychologist whose work primarily has concerned first language acquisition and social uses of language. Her research ranges from the investigation of language use on a feminist economics Internet discussion group, to the preschool child's acquisition of an imaginary verb. Currently she is collaborating with a research consortium concerned with examining faculty perceptions of the role of diversity in meeting the educational goals of institutions of higher learning. She is on the editorial board of Feminist Economics.
