Removal of protein build-up in brain

An interesting finding for possible treatments for Huntington's Disease came from breeding mice with repeated genes to produce properties of the disease. These repeated genes would, as stated before, produce deposits of protein in the nuclei weeks before the symptoms show. What happens is that there is a nuclear build-up in brain nuclei of protein clumps, these clumps are mutant versions of huntingtin? New research has offered hope. It has been speculated that physicians could delay or cure the disease with compounds that reduce the build-up of mutant proteins in the brain.
