Ongoing Events

• Candlelight Vespers with Dinner - 6:00 -7:15pm, Sunday, Feb. 3 in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life . The new vespers service this semester, will allow us to gather together in community for dinner, faith conversations, and celebration of the Eucharist.   As questions and challenges in the course of college life can leave us feeling uprooted and searching, please join with others to celebrate the support of community and those connections that deepen our search for the Sacred and what grounds us in life. We will meet 2 Sundays each month during the semester in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life:
  February 3 & 24,  6:00-7:15pm
  March 10 & 24,  6:00-7:15pm
  March 28-31 (Holy Week & Easter services)
  April 14 & 28,  6:00-7:15 pm
• Roman Catholic Mass- Sundays at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel.
• Sacred Stories - first Tuesday of the month from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life. Next session is December 4.
• Open Shabbat - Alternate Friday nights at 6:30 p.m.in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
• Sitting @ Mac- Weekly Meditation and Dharma Practice, Thursdays 4:45-6:15 p.m. and Mondays 4:45-6:30 p.m. in the Weyerhaeuser Memorial Chapel.
• Muslim Prayer - The Mosque is available for worship 8:30 a.m.-10:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The chapel is open for Friday Prayer, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Additional access may be arranged through the Muslim Student Association.
• Daily Meditation- Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the chapel.
• Mac Christian Fellowship - Tuesdays at 8pm in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.

• Senior Photo Project -

  The Center for Religious and Spiritual Life would like to invite parents of seniors to submit a photo and a well wish to their student as they begin their journey beyond Macalester.  The photos and well wishes will then be displayed during commencement weekend in the foyer of the Weyerhaeuser Memorial Chapel.  Please submit photos and well wishes by April 26 to religiouslife@macalester.edu or for more information check the commencement website www.macalester.edu/commencement.  If emailing the photos please send them in a jpg format if possible.  If sending a photo by mail, send them to
