studies, the religions of China and Japan, and Japanese Pure Land
Buddhism. She has done extensive research on the relationship between
Buddhist belief and Buddhist art, and on East Asian deathbed rituals.
During her time at CU-Boulder she has also done research on Asian
religions as practiced in the U.S.
