Fall 2009 Check-in information
Greetings from Residential Life!
We are excited to have you all back on campus starting Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 AM. You will need to check in to your specific fall housing assignment.
- Individuals living in Kirk and the Veggie Co-op will check in at the Kirk Hall Office in section 1 of Kirk in the office located in room 115.
- Individuals living in the Language houses will check in at the RA house at 1662 Princeton.
- Individuals living in GDD, the cottages and GCA please go to the Hall office in the foyer of GDD.
- Individuals living in 30 Mac, Wallace & Bigelow please go to the Bigelow office on Bigelow 1.
- Individuals living in Dupre go to the hall office located on the first floor of the building for your keys.
If you have forgotten where you are living next year please contact Residential Life at reslife@macalester.edu or 651.696.6215. Remember that your meal plan starts on September 5, 2009 with breakfast and storage will be available for you starting that day as well. Safe travels back to Macalester!
Storage Out Claim Hours
Storage items stored over the summer may be claimed at the following times:
- Saturday, September 5 (9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.)
- Sunday, September 6 (2-4 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.)
- Monday, September 7 (2-4 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.)
- Tuesday, September 8 (2-4 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.)
All unclaimed items by the last storage claim date/time may be discarded as they would be considered abaondoned.
Storage In Hours
Students may start storing items (in the hall in which they live) for Fall 2008 during the following dates/times:
- Thursday, September 10 - 8-10 p.m.
- Friday, September 11 - 8-10 p.m.
- Sunday, September 13 - 8-10 p.m.
Items that can be stored included Rubbermaid type containers, suitcases, boxes (sealed shut), and stackable shelf units that are closed and sealed.
Items that cannot be stored include furniture, shelving units, laundry baskets, garbage/trash cans, carpet, lamps, fans, or other large bulky items. Items in plastic or paper bags also may not be stored.
