Macalester has become the newest location in a long list of places that Charles has called home - other homes for Charles have been Osaka, Japan; Cleveland, Ohio; Storrs, Connecticut; Menomonie, Wisconsin; Aurora, Illinois; and arguably Berlin, Germany.  Throughout those travels, Charles has held a wide variety of jobs including previous stints as Hall Directors/Coordinators, a bookseller, an English teacher in Japanese junior high schools, a Caribou barista and a DJ in a gaijin bar.  But now he is very excited to be here and is already enjoying working with the Macalester students.
