Summer Housing Information 2008 Location Summer Housing for 2008 is in Kirk Hall. Timeline The first day of summer housing is on Sunday, May 18, 2008. The last day of summer housing is Friday, August 1, 2008. There are 11 weeks offered for summer housing. Students who require housing after Friday, August 1 will need to file for an extension. Not all extensions will be granted. No extensions for students who will live off-campus for Fall 2008 will be granted. Fall classes as well as the Residence Halls are opening a week earlier this fall due to the Republican National Convention. In order for Facilities staff to prepare buildings/rooms for opening, Residential Life to prepare and train student staff, and for the arrival of preseason student athletes and workers, summer housing had to be shortened by one week. Applications Summer Housing applications will be available in the Campus Life office in the 2nd floor of the Campus Center starting after Spring Break on Monday, March 24. The application can also be found here. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2. Cost Summer Housing rates have not increased from last year’s rate. The Summer Housing Rate is $9.00 per day and is billed to a student’s account. Meal Plan All students living on-campus for Summer 2008 are required to be on the meal plan. There are two meal plans to choose from: 5 meals per week at $40.50 per week 10 meals per week at $63.60 per week Meal plan rates for summer 2008 are the same as last year. Daily meal hours will be posted and are limited due to the summer conference schedule. Meal plans begin on Monday, June 2 and will close on Friday, August 1. Meal plans will be charged to a student’s account. Services Kirk Hall does have a kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, sink, and table/chairs in Section 8 that will be used. Storage will be available on a limited basis for summer hall students who currently live on-campus and who will live on-campus in the Fall. Storage space is not guaranteed due to limited space.
