I went to Grad School at the U of Minn. and got a master’s in Health Care Administration, in 1960. Served a one-year residency at Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.

I went into the Navy in N.Y. as a direct appointment (no outdoor “Boot Camp") and served as a medical staff officer or "MSC."  I was stationed at the U.S. Naval Hospital, St. Albans, for three years. Met a Navy nurse, Janet Weidenbach, and married her in 1962. We left N.Y. to take my first job as a Hospital Administrator in Fresno, Calif.

Our first daughter, Jannine, was born there. After two different jobs in healthcare administration, I took a new Job at UCSF-MC. We moved to the East Bay suburbs of San Francisco, to Moraga. Our second daughter, Jennifer, was born at UCSF.

I have held associate, & COO, CEO positions in Hospitals. In ’79, I decided to try another profession in the healthcare field, Executive Recruiting. I have been doing that successfully for 29 years. My wife, Jan, has become a psychotherapist and still practices.

We moved to an Oakland townhouse 12 years ago and our kids are both nearby, working in the healthcare field. We have two grandsons, 5 and 3 ¾, who are great fun and keep us from getting old! We bought a cabin at Donner lake in the Sierras in 1970 and love to snow ski, water ski and have cocktail cruises on our beautiful lake. We love to travel and see the world.

There are too many stories to relate. That will come when I get back and see my classmates. I had a great time at "Mac" It was a perfect educational and social experience for me! We went back to "Mac" two years ago so I could be inducted into the "Mac" College Athletic Hall of Fame for Wrestling and Track. I was thrilled to be inducted and very proud of it. "It made my Day!" I look forward to coming back again to see many old friends and relive our past.
