My ‘Remember When’ stories:
· Great professors, friends, and values
Following graduation with a B.A. in biology, I spend a fifth year at Mac and received a B.S. in medical technology in 1959. I was employed at the University of Minnesota Hospitals, where the work was very challenging and rewarding. After marriage and the birth of two children, I became a stay-at-home mom and active volunteer. I enjoyed over 30 years volunteering at the office of the Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. At the same time, I served several terms on the Board of Directors of the American Association of University Women’s St. Paul branch and chaired the Scholarship Trust Committee. In retirement, my passions for reading, quilting and gardening are very satisfying, and watching our two grandchildren grow and mature is a delight. Seeing various parts of the U.S. is another joy for us, especially since we travel in a comfortable Itasca motor home. Our next adventure will be to Georgia and South Carolina, and we are very excited to see these areas.
