Although I was actually part of the Class of 1959, I graduated early in ’58, so I feel like a bit of an outsider as I write this. Mac gave me a wonderful start in life. In fact, the values and causes I encountered at Mac have been vital parts of my life for all of these years.

I now live on the Central Coast of California. My husband Tom and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with our three grown children — Susan, Sandy and Scott — and our two grandchildren — Maya and Emily.

We have lived in many places, although most of our years have been spent in California. Before retiring in 1999, I spent 36 years in the field of education as a college and high school teacher of English and a program coordinator. Even though I earned my master’s in English and another master’s in Counseling and Psychology, I think the most exciting classes I ever had were at Mac. (Maybe it was because of my impressionable young age.)

We currently have an active life with golf, international travel and lots of time with our family, who all live in California.
