Married to my wife, Sally, for 51 years. We raised and educated three sons, all of whom became Eagle Scouts — now totaling seven in our family. I have accumulated 37 years in the Boy Scout program.

Sally and I owned a small business, providing employment for several people. Today, we keep busy raising money for our Twin Cities Shriners Hospital for Children and volunteering for our local Presbyterian church. After retirement, we also ran a small business making and selling Bavarian wax ornaments and home decor in the old German style. We also remodeled an old family cabin in northern Minnesota for summer employment. I haven’t mentioned being Rotary President and a winemaker.
