I’ve been retired three years from teaching at Longfellow Humanities Magnet School in St. Paul. Since then I have done quite a bit of traveling — recently to Alaska and a trip to Russia is planned during the Reunion time (sorry!) One day a week is devoted to volunteering back at my school, and one is spent with my grandson, Michael, who is 2 1/2. The rest is up for grabs — AAUW, book club, Longfellow Retired Teacher's Group, and friends and family top the list.
My Mac Memories:
I was a member of the Drama Choros — a valuable experience for a teacher-to-be! I’ve participated in a couple of the DC reunions and can still recite POGO. Hats off to the grand dame, Mary Gwen Owen! I remember a smoking grille, although I never smoked. I lived two blocks from Mac. Friends — just to name a few — OD, Tuppin, Karin Sue, Sue, Ann, Diane. I met my husband Mike our senior year. Bell Tower; painted rock; fall, the best season; football; Homecoming parade down Snelling… Oski Wow Wow y'all!
