SAFEwalk
Macalester's SAFEwalk is a campus program dedicated to providing the college's students, faculty, and staff a safe campus environment. Each night a group of three to six students, both men and women, are available to walk students, staff, and faculty within a one-mile radius from the campus(see Map of Boundaries for details). SAFEwalkers are located in the upper level of the campus center and can be identified by the SAFEwalk sign as well as SAFEwalk shirts and vests. SAFEwalk accepts requests for walks through both phone calls and walk-ins from 9pm until 1am seven days a week. *If you need a walk before 9 pm or after 1 am you can still call (651) 696-6699 and campus Security will walk you within a block of campus.
