New emergency care guidelines from the American Heart Association include dramatic changes to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and an emphasis on chest compressions. The most significant change to CPR is the ratio of chest compressions to rescue breaths—from 15 compressions to 30 for every two rescue breaths.  For more information go to:

Per FERPA regulations, the staff of the Safety and Security Office is designated as the law enforcement officials for the Macalester campus.
