Sound clips from the Spring 08 concert have been uploaded on the Repertoire page! Give them a listen! Upcoming Performances: Performances for the 2008-2009 TBA! Otherwise, the same old: We are Macalester's only all-female a cappella group. We traditionally sing pop/contemporary songs and have a new repertoire of songs that we have arranged each semester. Our group was founded in the fabulous decade of the '80s, soon after the Macalester Traditions (the Trads). Our name was originally the Basics, but was upgraded very appropriately to the Sirens. (I mean, hey, because we lure so many sailors from the huge oceans we have nearby in Minnesota.) We are one of three a cappella groups at Macalester, the others being the Trads, the all-male group, and Scotch Tape, the co-ed group.
