Poster Session

The 2011 Student Research Poster Session will be held on Friday, October 14th, in Smail Gallery. The poster session is a venue to showcase students' summer research and experiential learning. Students who have done summer research, on campus or off campus, are expected to participate in the poster session.

Making A Poster

It is important that you talk with your faculty mentor about your poster several weeks in advance of the poster session. A poster should include the following components:

• Title/author
• An abstract
• An introduction
• Materials and methods
• Data and results
• Discussion
• Summary
• Literature cited

You can download a pre-formatted poster template specifically designed to work with the poster printer by clicking here.

The Simple Poster Guide has some pointers about using Power Point to make your poster.
