Lisa will be sailing with Semester at Sea during Spring 2016 and will return to Macalester in April 2016.

Lisa has served as the Associate Dean of Students since 2008. In this role Lisa supervises the Assistant Dean of Students, provides oversight for accessibility for students with disabilities, coordinates family fest weekend, supports students who have questions and concerns, and coordinates resources, prevention education and investigation for sexual violence and harassment on campus.

Lisa also serves on the Common Read, and Student Learning committees, is a co-facilitator for Worthy Questions and the White Identity Collective, and a participant in the Allies Project.

Lisa has been actively involved in the field of Student Affairs, particularly in the American College Personnel Association where she serves on the Governing Board. She has served in leadership roles on commissions for alcohol and other drugs, residence life and social justice educators, in addition to numerous conference planning teams.

Lisa received her PhD from the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan, her MS in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Indiana University, and her BS in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
