Tobacco-Free Policy

Macalester College is committed to empowering each generation to improve the health of our community and environment. In accordance with this purpose, all Macalester College buildings, including residence halls and athletic facilities, are tobacco-free. This policy eliminates tobacco use, including smokeless tobacco products, within 25 feet of building entrances, windows, and building ventilation systems. All community members are called upon to cooperate with this policy and to encourage all community members to respect the rights of others to not be exposed to second-hand smoke.
