The Senior Class Gift is a tradition that celebrates the Macalester experience. It’s also an opportunity for the graduating class to make its first philanthropic mark on the college, while publicly honoring the faculty, staff, and students that have made each of their experiences unique.

Give $20.12 toward the 2012 Senior Class Gift

The 2012 Senior Class Gift continues in the footsteps of graduating classes since 2009 – designating the dollars to the Annual Fund. This year, there’s also a special opportunity for the class to make its mark: breaking the 54 percent participation record means getting a space named for the class in the newly renovated Janet Wallace building.

Additionally, with each gift and honoree, the committee ensures that:

• The honoree receives a lovely card in the mail notifying them that they’ve been honored
• The honoree is mentioned in the weekly Daily Piper update of new honorees*
• The honoree is mentioned on the 2012 Facebook Group*
• The honoree and senior are listed in the final issue of the MacWeekly
• The honoree and senior are listed on the reverse of the Commencement Events schedule*

The suggested donation amount is $20.12 or more for seniors to honor one faculty or staff member (write in with your online donation). Please consider giving early in the 2012 fiscal year, which ends May 31st, 2012. We request that you give proportionately for multiple honorees.

Similar to past years, we’ll offer some small tokens of appreciation when you give the suggested amount or more.
